Exercise can help people with Alzheimer's feel better — both physically and emotionally. Our new walking program, Happy Feet, helps boost mood, decrease risk of falls, and reduce wandering - greatly improving the patient's quality of life.

VitalStim Therapy® is a safe and effective treatment offered to Active Life patients suffering with difficulty swallowing or dysphagia.
VitalStim® Therapy is a non-invasive, external electrical stimulation therapy cleared to market by the FDA in December 2002. The therapy uses specifically designed electrodes applied to the muscles of the throat to promote proper swallowing.
Since our certification in VitalStim® Therapy, patients – young and old alike - have benefited greatly from the dysphagia rehabilitation program designed and implemented by our Speech therapists.

Our centers provide quality medical and rehabilitative care through registered and licensed physical, occupational and speech therapists. We work with patients and their families to design an individualized plan of care that best addresses patient needs or those of their loved one. This outcome-focused specialized care helps shorten our patient's acute care time and lays the groundwork for a successful discharge move to lower level of care.
Active Life and its staff takes rehabilitation one step further by offering its patients therapeutic recreation and social activities to provide mental and physical stimulation in a warm and home-like environment.
Active Life Rehab is proud to announce that we have started to outsource for Tri-City Home Health based in North County San Diego and Home Care Group based in Torrance.
